What students say
I'm in LMU's postbacc premed program. Class sizes are tiny—my Gen bio class had about 20 students, labs around 16. The biology department focuses heavily on plants and ecology, which might not be for everyone, but the curriculum is rigorous and rewarding. Labs are intense two-unit courses where you really have to work for an A. Professors are approachable and excellent lecturers, though exams are tough. Plenty of research opportunities too, with weekly seminars from professors in your first semester. Highly recommend if you're into this kind of science.
