I found that getting around Cambridge Campus is best done on foot. I checked the walk from Wigglesworth to Maxwell-Dworkin, one of the longer routes, and it only takes about 10 minutes. Using a scooter or bike might save a bit of time, but locking and storing them is a hassle. It's not worth the worry.

Literature

I loved this literature course. The workload is around 10-15 hours per week, mostly reading longer works like the Iliad, with essays and lectures like other classes. The atmosphere is unique and I enjoyed it much more than the intro English course. I'd recommend it if you truly love literature.

As a freshman, most of your classes are in Harvard Yard or nearby buildings, so walking is fine. If you need to cross the Charles, a bike works but beware of theft. Groceries and essentials are just off campus. To explore Cambridge or Boston, the T subway is super convenient and goes everywhere. Just avoid walking late at night because there are homeless folks around.
