I'm studying psychology at Adelaide and it's frustrating to see how little value the profession gets. The career progression is nonexistent, pay is terrible, and experienced staff are leaving. New grads need senior clinicians to learn from, but they're leaving too. The only way up is management, not clinical expertise. This affects patient care and waitlists.
